Hi, I’m Penny Sharp, a Melbourne-based photographer located in the beautiful Bayside area. My journey with photography began when I was just 12 years old, and it’s been a lifelong passion that has only grown stronger over the years. Photography started as a way to document the little moments in life, but it quickly blossomed into something much more profound—a way to connect with people, places, and the things I care about most. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Photography, which has allowed me to deepen my skills and explore the vast possibilities this art form offers.
I specialise in a diverse range of genres, from pet photography to fashion, fine art, corporate headshots, and documentary work. Each genre offers a unique way to tell a story, whether it’s showcasing the elegance of a new fashion line, capturing the spirit of a business professional, documenting the vibrant cultures I’ve encountered, or celebrating the special connection between pets and their humans.
What drives me is the connection that photography creates. I love seeing the confidence and joy that washes over my clients when they see their images. Whether it’s someone falling in love with themselves all over again in a portrait, a brand finding its visual identity, or a dog owner cherishing a memory of their furry friend, photography has the power to bring people closer to themselves and to what they love.
But perhaps the most exciting chapter of my career is the one I’m embarking on now—pet photography, especially dogs. Dogs have always held a special place in my heart, and being able to merge my deep love for them with my passion for photography is truly a dream come true. There’s something magical about capturing a pet’s personality, their quirks, and the bond they share with their humans. It’s a joy to see the pure happiness on a client’s face when they see the essence of their beloved pet captured in a photo. And that is why I started my own Pet Photography Business: Penelopes Pawspectives

I believe that every photograph tells a story, and my goal is to make that story as authentic and beautiful as possible. I approach every project with a deep respect for the subject and a commitment to capturing moments that truly resonate.
